Israel’ policies regarding GAZA 5

On 5 July, 2010 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed on Israel’s New Policy towards Gaza. There were different policies put forward out of which the first one was to list the goods permitted in Gaza.

There were two groups of items first consisting of arms, munitions and missile equipment while the other group was the dual-use goods and items. Some of these items are listed as fertilizers, optical equipment, certain navigation aids, parachutes, gliders, composite materials, hunting knives, non-motorized airborne vehicles, flight control equipment, fireworks, avionics, missile-related computer technologies etc.

The second thing discussed was expansion of the inflow of construction material for Palestinian Authority and authorize projects with international supervision and monitoring.

Next thing that was put forward was the growth of the operation of the crossings which can enable greater volume of goods in Gaza and also working with Palestinian Authority with full coordination which will help in authorization of projects.
