Volkswagen Rocktan review

Volkswagen Rocktan is the upcoming SUV that would be launched by Volkswagen India by the end of 2012. Once launched, the Volkswagen Rocktan would be available in both the petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version would use a 1.4 liter TSI engine and the diesel version would use a 1.6 liter and 1.2 liter TDI engines. In both the versions, the engines would offer 430 horsepower. The peak torque attained by this SUV would be 424 Nm at 4600 rpm.
What would set the Volkswagen Rocktan apart from the other SUVs would be the advanced safety features like airbags for the drivers and passengers, automatic crash response, power door locks, keyless access and theft deterrent system. The powerful engine with 6 speeds manual and a 6 speed automatic gearbox would allow you to ride this SUV real fast. The cost of this SUV would vary between 12 to 20 lakhs depending on whether the car would be manufactured in Indian plants or in the plants abroad. However it is sure that the Volkswagen Rocktan is sure to rock the Indian market.
